JUNE:

COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY:
Sunday June 5
1 - 4 pm
Fun for the entire family. Bring in your extra vegetable plants, flowers, trees or seeds and help beautify the Village. (Bring your own tools).
Food and refreshments will be available all afternoon for volunteers.

STORYTIME:
Sunday June 26
10 - noon
An afternoon of stories, crafts and games for children 10 and under. Presented by the Municipality of Cascapedia-St-Jules Reading Program.

 

 

JULY:

CANADA DAY:
Friday July 1
3 pm onwards
Canada Day Celebrations start at 3 pm with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by activities in the Village. Traditional foods, music and games for young and old, storytelling, BBQ and children's show are just some of the activities planned.
From 8-10 pm the Clemville Kids play in the Barn, and the fireworks display starts at 9 pm.

SUNDAY AFTERNOONS AT THE VILLAGE:
LAUNCH OF "FALLING OFF THE MAP"
Sunday June 17
1- 4 pm
Afternoon tea ($) and official launch of an interactive website which presents stories and memories of New Richmond, Black Cape, Cascapedia-St-Jules and Gesgapegiag .
Includes videos of our senior community members, photos, maps and texts.

SEPTEMBER:

NEW RICHMOND BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL:
September 1 - 4 pm
Quebec's first and only bluegrass music festival combines the sounds of some of North America's top bluegrass bands and the Gaspé; coast's best musicians. Free rough camping and a beautiful natural and historic setting offers fans a unique experience.

GRAND PARENTS' DAY BRUNCH:
September 11
10 AM - 1pm
A family affair where grandchildren will be encouraged to invite their Grandparents for a brunch and parents serve them. Different activities will take place.

5K FUN RUN & 1K KIDS' RACE:
Monday September 19
10 - noon
A cross-country run through the scenic trails of the Village. Walkers are encouraged to attend as well. Pick up your registration form at the Village or online. After the race an awards ceremony will be held, refreshments and snacks will be available for all participants.
Register by September 10 and save $5.

 

OCTOBER:

HALLOWE'EN:
1 - 4 pm
Treasure hunt, bonfire, horse-cart rides, tearoom, trick or treating. Cost $5
